Thanks, Greg. Here's something you will appreciate. Yesterday, I happened across an eagle about 15' up in a tree. Yes! Had my camera with me. Pulled over, got off several good shots...only to discover my CF card was sitting on the desk back at home. Oh well, tomorrow is another day!
Ive done that a few times, had a otter the other day to find out i didnt have my telephoto. What lens do you use, i cant seem to get a steady shot or few and far between. I use a 75-300 cheaper but still should get a half way good shot I thought
I actually bit the bullet and bought the 70-200mm 2.8 L series lens. No regrets. Love the lens. But you're right, the 75-300 still gives good shots too.

Yes, Patrina. I was very excited. Finally got my eagle shot ~ been trying for a while.
